Ce tissu est tissé à la main par des artisans travaillant avec Glocal Weaves, selon une technique de trame supplémentaire. Ce procédé consiste à intégrer les motifs à la main dans le tissu à l’aide d’un fil plus dense que la chaîne. Chaque motif est réalisé trame par trame, exigeant précision, patience et le savoir-faire d’artisans hautement qualifiés. C’est un travail minutieux et exigeant, qui confère au tissu sa profondeur et son caractère uniques.

Fondée en 2013 dans la capitale Indienne de New Delhi, Kardo propose une collection qui va à l’encontre de la « fast-fashion » et de la production de masse. 

Une approche créative qui a choisi de rendre hommage à de nombreuses techniques traditionnelles indiennes de tissage ou de teinture en les adaptant aux exigences actuelles.

This fabric is handwoven by artisans working with Glocal Weaves, using an additional weft technique. This process involves hand-weaving the designs into the fabric using a denser yarn than the warp. Each design is created weft by weft, requiring precision, patience, and the expertise of highly skilled artisans. It is a meticulous and demanding process that gives the fabric its unique depth and character.
